Japan Tsunami Is One Of Biggest Ever Recorded


A Huge Earthquake and Tsunami Has Hit Japan. Here are Some Japan Tsunami and Earthquake Video

A large earthquake hit northeastern Japan on March 11, 2011. The Japan earthquake measured 8.8 on the Richter scale and set off a tsunami warning. Witnesses stated that the Japan earthquake lasted several minutes.


The Japan earthquake hit 125 kilometres off the eastern coast and has set off a tsunami. Officials state that waves as high as 20 feet could hit the coast.

Japan public broadcaster NHK Public showed Japan tsunami video that showed cars, trucks, houses and buildings being swept away by the tsunami.

A tsunami warning has also been issued for Russia, Marcus Island and the Northern Marianas. A tsunami watch has been issued for Guam, Taiwan, the Philippines, Indonesia and US state of Hawaii.
